How to
get to Begur ?
You have
a choice of three nearby airports, all served by low cost airlines,
Girona (Gerona), Barcelona and Perpignan. The easiest way to get to Begur from
these airports is by hire car. All the low cost airlines offer cheap
car hire from their respective airports. Car hire is also available
from Hertz and
Holidayautos.
In the summer season (July and
August) there are four daily direct return connections from Barcelona
International
Airport (BCN) to Begur with public transport (bus) departing from BCN - Terminal
1 and Terminal 2. During the low season (as from September) there are 2 daily direct
return connections on weekdays and one during the weekends. The ride lasts approx. 3 hours and 20 minutes
(subject to traffic). The adult single fare is 21.45 €uro (2016). These are real
direct services without any need for transfers.

Since the summer of
2015 (July and August) there are 6 daily return bus connections from Girona
Airport to Palafrugell Bus Station which is only approx. 10
minutes Taxi ride from Begur. For further info:

Travelling
by car from Barcelona you take the A7 motorway in the direction of
Girona/France. You take the exit 9 (Sortida 9) and the direction San Feliu de Guixols, Playa d'Aro, Palamos, Palafrugell and Begur.
Travelling by car from France you take the A7 motorway direction Girona/Barcelona. You leave the motorway at exit 4 (Sortida 4).
You take the N-II approx. 1 Km in the direction back towards France and
drive off the N-II in the direction Verges/La Bisbal. In Verges
you turn left at a roundabout towards Torroella de Montgri, Pals and Begur.

It is
possible to get to Begur by Taxi or by public transport. However as
the public transport serving Begur is very infrequent, most visitors
prefer to get here by rental car. Palafrugell is a 10 minutes Taxi ride from Begur.
